Sandigo, NSW

Proposed site

The project is located across one property that is currently being used for cropping, post construction this will change to sheep grazing below the panels. The proposed development footprint is on land that is relatively flat and has been cleared of native vegeation due to historical farming parctices.

Why was this site chosen?

  • optimal solar resources
  • the availability of suitable land
  • proximity to electrical loads
  • minimal impacts to the project and surrounding lands
  • access to grid connection with sufficient connection capacity
  • community support for renewable energy projects
  • existing land use quality and the capacity to rehabilitate post-
  • decommissioning.
  • not identified to contain high value agricultural land
  • Capacity to continue grazing post construction (Shift from cropping to sheep)
